MAGIC Weekend at Hill Dickinson Stadium has been touted as the fastest-selling in the concept’s two-decade history with more than 47,000 tickets so far sold for the event on July 4 and 5.

Rugby League Commercial on Tuesday issued a media release touting the feat, saying: “The stadium’s lower bowl has now sold out across Sunday and full weekend passes.

“The Trinity Bar and Village Street are also sold out across Saturday, Sunday and full weekend passes.”

The second Ashes Test at Everton’s new home ground attracted a sold-out 52,106 attendance.

RLC’s Joe Steel was quoted as saying: “There’s a clear excitement about taking one of the biggest dates in the rugby league calendar to Everton’s Hill Dickinson Stadium – and it’s brilliant to see supporters responding in this way.

“We’re hoping it will be the biggest and best Magic Weekend yet with all the ingredients there to make for an absorbing and enthralling two days of action.

“There’s a full festival experience waiting for fans to enjoy – on and off the pitch.

“Plenty of supporters who witnessed the Ashes Test match at Everton in November were amazed by the world-class venue. And Super League is looking forward to being the next to take the stage.”
