rugbyleaguehub.com: How has the trip been so far?

Adam Reynolds: “It’s been good. It’s been quite a short trip but we’ve enjoyed our time together as a team. Obviously we enjoy getting away as a squad, obviously getting away to the other side of the world is quite a unique situation. But a few days of preparation, a few days to explore London and now up to Hull to just sharpen preparations for the game.”

RLH: How was meeting up with John Cartwright and Hull FC?

AR: “Yeah, it’s always good to see some familiar faces. I haven’t seen the boys for quite some time now, obviously being on the other side of the world obviously makes it hard, but it’s always nice to cross paths.”

RLH: Does the Penrith Panthers’ failure to win the WCC put more responsibility on Brisbane to win it for the NRL?

AR: “No, not really, we’ve got our own standards that we live by and strong beliefs that we live by. We know it’s not going to be easy. It’s certainly a tough place to come and play some football and Hull KR’s a fantastic team who’ve had a fantastic 12 months playing in big games. So we expect it to be a tough challenge but we’ve got our own standards and whatnot to live by and everybody wants to be part of those games and get holding a trophy up, but that’s not going to be easy.”

RLH: Does the York defeat make them more dangerous?

AR: “They’re going to be disappointed. They’re certainly a far better team than what they showed the other night. They may have had one eye on this game, I’m not too sure. But we know on Thursday they’re going to be at their best and we need to be at our best if we’re going to win.”

RLH: Does the intensity from the York game help the Broncos?

AR: “I don’t know about that, I suppose you could argue both ways. But at the start of the game there’s 80 minutes in front of us to apply our best football and the same for them as well. So I’m sure both teams will feel each other out for the first 20 minutes and see where things are at and see from there and try and take the opportunities.”
