ENGLAND hooker Jez Litten may have a future as a supersub for Hull Kingston Rovers after playing off the bench in a crushing home victory over over Castleford.

Coach Willie Peters chose to rest Litten from the opening exchanges of a lop-sided round 10 clash and it worked a treat with his stand-in, Karl Lawton, scoring the first two tries of the match.

Aside from that, there were precious few narratives from a match that was over at halftime with Peters’ side leading 34-0 at the break.

Winger Tom Davies scored a hat-trick as the Robins made Castleford’s upset win over Wigan seem two years ago rather than fortnight that has actually elapsed.

They committed just about every unsightly error the game can offer – dropping the ball on their own line, playing the ball to no-one, fumbling kicks and more on the way to the 50-6 defeat.

HULL KR 50 (Davies 3 Lawton 2 Burgess Lewis Hadley Amone tries Martin 7 goals) beat CASTLEFORD 6 (Mapapalangi try Asi goal) at Sewell Group Craven Park.
