SYDNEY Roosters’ Australian Test forward Angus Crichtn will see a specialist on Tuesday as a foot injury prompts concern about how many games he has left in rugby league.

Crichton, 30, is switching back to rugby union at the end of the year and coach Trent Robinson said after a 27-8 win over Cronulla on Sunday that he would be out for more than a week.

Subsequent reports indicated a recovery of six weeks or more.

“It won’t be a week – that’s the thing,” said Robinson “He’s got to see a specialist on Tuesday. It’s more bone.”

Although he was technically a late withdrawal from Sunday’s game, he was sighted at Alliance Stadium walking with the help of a knee support and crutches.

Surgery would end his time in rugby league – at least until his rugby union contract expires at the end of 2029
