WIGAN’S push back to Super League dominance has hit a major road block with four players ruled out for a total of 18 weeks or more.

Former Man of Steel Bevan French has injured another hamstring after making his comeback to the Warriors starting side at the weekend, robbing Magic Weekend of one of its biggest drawcards.

As for the most serious-sounding injury of the four, it’s young winger Noah Hodkinson who has a fractured skull and will be sidelined for between two and three weeks.

England prop Luke Thompson has foot ligament damage with a recovery of six weeks while veteran back rower Liam Farrell has a nerve injury and staff have decided to rest him for a month with a reassessment to take place during that time.

“It is a different hamstring than last time but it will probably be four weeks, so there is a bit of news there.”
Peet told reporters: “Monday, we were just waiting on scan results.
“To be honest, when you’re waiting on scans, you fear the worst. And with each one, you’re trying to think what your team will be for the coming weeks and then you’ve got to readjust.
“I’m cool with it now. I know what our team is going to be. We know how we need to prepare and we’ve trained well today, so onwards now.”
