Batley Bulldogs are targeting the signing of Featherstone Rovers halfback Ben Reynolds for 2026.
rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands Batley are very keen to add the playmaker to their squad.
It is believed no deal has been done as of yet, but sources have confirmed the Bulldogs’ strong interest.
rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands Reynolds may be a free agent after his wages for September were not paid by Featherstone.
The Championship side is facing massive financial issues, with debts allegedly owed to numerous parties, including to HMRC.
Last month chairman Paddy Handley and CEO Martin Vickers departed the club.
Reynolds joined Featherstone in July last year from Hull KR.
The 31-year-old started his career at Castleford in 2013. He has had spells with York, Doncaster, Leigh, Dewsbury, Wakefield, Hull KR and Hull FC.
Reynolds has made more than 190 career appearances and in 2023 won the Challenge Cup with the Leopards.
