FORMER Man Of Steel Bevan French and star NRL signing Jacob Host have each been sidelined four months as Super League was hit by round four injuries.

Wigan’s French suffered a torn hamstring playing against Toulouse while St Helens’ Host broke a leg in the match against Bradford.

Another team in the wars is Huddersfield. The Giants have 16 players unavailable for this weekend’s Challenge Cup round.

Niall Evalds (calf), Adam Clune (ankle) and Adam Swift (hamstring) are all out for the rest of the month. Sam Halsall (hamstring), Joe Greenwood (ankle), and Harry Rushton (thumb) will be sidelined longer.

Hull FC back rower Jed Cartwright, son of coach John, is out for three months with a torn hamstring.
