LONDON Broncos will appear on TV for the first time since Darren Lockyer and Grant Wechsel took control of the club when they take on Bradford in the Challenge Cup on Sunday week.

The game is clearly the standout fixture of the third round, given Bradford will return to Super League a week later and London have amassed players from around the world during the off-season.

The third round is when the Super League clubs join the draw, with matches across February 6,7 and 8.

Lock Lane, the last amateur team in the competition, have drawn the extremely short straw of playing Hull KR on Friday night.

Fellow Vegas-bound side Leeds travel to Widnes, who they play for the first time since 2018.

There will no doubt be lots of Google searches on how to watch BBC iPlayer in Papua New Guinea before the Broncos-Bradford game.

Asked about the importance of the tie for his team’s confidence going into Super League, Bulls coach Kurt Haggerty said: “You said they’re a Championship team – they’re very much a Super League team.

“Let’s not be kidding ourselves. They’re a very good team. They’ve recruited very well, they’ve got some very good players. We’re seeing that as a Super League game before a Super League game. We’ll be taking that as serious as round one.”
