WAKEFIELD centre Corey Hall made a formal complaint he had been the victim of a Christmas hold – having his genitals grabbed by an opponent – during tonight’s win over Hull.
In the 48th minute of the match at DIY Kitchens Stadium – won 14-1 by the home team – Hall summoned referee Aaron Moore and motioned with a half-open fist as he made the allegation.
“You want to make a complaint?” said Moore, who then called over Hull FC captain Aiden Sezer and advised him of the allegation.
In a game which saw each side battling for its second win of the year, the scores were tied 10-10 at halftime.
Winger Will Tate’s second try in the 58th minute edged them ahead for the first time, after fellow flanker Lewis Martin crossed twice in the first half for Hull FC.
Earlier, Oliver Pratt scored on the very last play of the first half after Hull fullback Davy Litten allowed a bomb to bounce.
WAKEFIELD 14 (Tate 2 Pratt tries Sinfield goal) beat HULL FC 10 (Martin 2 tries Hardaker goal) at DIY Kitchens Stadium.
