Former Great Britain captain Garry Schofield says England haven’t been properly tested in the World Cup yet, but believes they will beat Samoa and reach the World Cup final.
The hosts and Samoa face off in the tournament semi-finals today.
The two teams met in the first game of the World Cup and England won 60-6 in Newcastle.
“We were all a little bit surprised by the 60-point scoreline,” Schofield, who made 49 appearances for Great Britain and England, said.
“But this game will be more physical, it’s all about revenge for Samoa.
“England – everyone’s playing too well – the spine, the pack is laying the foundation. But they haven’t been put under pressure yet.
“Though, I can see another England victory by 20 points. The style of play at this World Cup has surprised me, it’s been attractive.
“England haven’t been tested by a side after the first 20 to 25 minutes, the question is, will they stick to the process?
“I think Victor Radley has been England’s best player.”Â
The winner of the semi-final will face Australia in the final at Old Trafford.
