Rhodri Jones, managing director of RL Commercial, has joined International Rugby League as a director.
Jones has replaced former RFL chief executive Ralph Rimmer on the IRL board.
The RFL has two candidates who sit on the board, with the other being its chairman Simon Johnson.
There are 12 members of the IRL board, which includes chairman Troy Grant, deputy chairman Luc Lacoste, director Andrew Abdo, Greg Barclay, Johnson, Jones, Brian Juliff, Greg Peters, Sandis Tsaka, Peter V’landys, Emma Young and Reon Edwards.
New Zealand Rugby League chairman Edwards is classed as an observer, while Young, Grant and Barclay are independents, V’landys and Abdo represent the Australian Rugby League Commission, Peters and Tsaka the Asia Pacific Rugby League, Juliff, Lacoste and Jones the European Rugby League, and Johnson the RFL.
