JACK Broadbent is happy to be Hull KR’s man for all positions after helping them to a 31-12 win over Warrington Wolves in the Betfred Challenge Cup final dress rehearsal.
The 23-year-old’s try opened the scoring for the Betfred Super League leaders and set them on the way to victory in Friday’s Round 12 clash at the Halliwell Jones Stadium, ahead of the Wembley showpiece on June 7.
Broadbent, signed from Castleford Tigers midway through 2024, lined up at fullback for the match, having also switched between the wing and centre for Hull KR this year, but is always ready to slot in wherever head coach Willie Peters needs him.

“I’m having to fill a few holes at the moment when they pop up, but I just want to be in that 17 every week and play my best footy,” Broadbent told BBC Radio Five Live Sports Extra.
“I just want to be competing – that’s what he asks of me and I’ll compete wherever I play.
“I’m loving it and it’s a great set of lads who, if I do something wrong, they’ve got my back. It’s a great environment.”
Hull KR are desperate for this year to be the one where get their hands on a first major honour since being crown league champions 40 years ago, particularly after finishing on the losing side in the 2023 Challenge Cup final and 2024 Super League grand final.
Broadbent was adamant Friday’s win over Warrington will have no bearing on this year’s cup final, however, and insists they are not looking beyond next week’s Super League match at home to St Helens, who won 46-4 at Huddersfield Giants.
“I don’t think it means much, does it?” Broadbent said.
“I’ve not really thought too much into it. Hopefully I’ll be playing fullback and it’s going to be a different game.
“Saints next week, we’ll tick that off and then we’ll be looking forward to that one.”
