FORMER Sky Sports commentator Eddie Hemmings will be part of the broadcaster’s coverage of Super League’s 30th birthday celebrations on Sunday.
Hemmings, who retired in 2019, is set to make an appearance on the telecast of Leeds Rhinos against Warrington Wolves at Headingley.
Sky has arranged for several legendary players and former pundits to be part of their coverage this weekend.
Hemmings, along with Mike Stephenson, was the voice and face of Sky’s Super League coverage from 1996 until 2019.
rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads understands Stephenson won’t be joining the coverage on Sunday afternoon, with the 1972 World Cup winner overseas.
Hemmings will be accompanied on the telecast by Phil Clarke, Adrian Morley, Iestyn Harris, Danny McGuire and other high-profile figures from the competition’s past 30 years.
