LEBANON international Adam Doueihi has sensationally walked out on Wests Tigers after being switched to lock for Saturday’s clash with Canberra.
Doueihi, 27, had just beaten a high tackle charge at the judiciary but did not train with his team-mates on Thursday night and will not play at GIO Stadium.
“Adam won’t be playing this weekend,” chief executive Shaun Mielekamp told the Daily Telegraph.
“Adam and Benji (Marshall, coach) met this morning to discuss a plan for the weekend. Benji made a call on what’s best for the team but as a result Adam has asked for some time off and we agree to that.”
It’s been a turbulent time at the joint venture, with five-eighth Jarome Luai given an early release after signing with PNG Chiefs for 2028.
He has since joined Parramatta for 2027.
Asked about that affair on radio SEN on Wednesday, Doueihi said: “The timing of it, it was the day before the Warriors game, which isn’t ideal.
“Then having press conferences before the Dogs game isn’t ideal either.
“It is what it is, everyone’s grown men and old enough to move on from it so we try to do that.”
