Wakefield Trinity’s turnover grew to £6.041 millon but it posted an operating loss of £1.322 million during 2025, according to the club’s latest accounts.
The accounts of Spirit of 1873 Limited can be viewed on Companies House.
They show that last year the club’s turnover jumped up to £6,041,181, from £3,656,882 in 2024, with central broadcast distributions increasing to £1,375,000 and matchday and operational service revenue growing to £3,006,382.
But Wakefield had an operating loss of £1,322,377, a decrease from a £1,828,227 loss the 12 months before, and had an overall net loss of £1,409,163.
Last year the club’s total payroll and staff costs rose to £5,143,126, up from £4,150,339, and its average workforce expanded to 148 employees.
Trinity’s cost of sales grew 27.5 percent to £4,018,138, while administrative expenses increased to £5,004,528.
The club’s operating income was bolstered by £1,659,108 in government and municipal grants, while its net assets fell to £168,475 and its net current liabilities sit at £4,314,488.
