JUST a month out from the event, a venue for the French Magic Weekend match has been announced.
Catalans and Toulouse are not travelling to Liverpool for the Super League jamboree on the weekend of July 4 and 5, left to play each other in France at a venue of their choosing.
Speaking to rugbyleaguehub.com at the start of the year, Toulouse sporting director Cedric Garcia said he wanted to take the game to Montpelier and engage millionaire rugby union owner Mohed Altrad.
Catalans CEO Sebastien Munoz favoured Narbonne but the game will instead be played at Stade Pierre-Fabre in Castres, on July 5.
The stadium is the home of Castres Olympique rugby union and holds 12,300 people. The rugby union club is selling tickets to the match.
Castres has a population of 43,000 and sits in the Tarn region, which boasts Albi and Realmont as its leading rugby league clubs.
