A ST GEORGE Illawarra Dragon set the airwaves alight after the joint venture sunk to a 10th consecutive loss on Friday night.
Samoan international Luciano Leilua kicked off the Dragons’ comeback in their match against Manly with 30th minute try but the Sea Eagles were too good in the end, winning 28-18 at WIN Stadium.
Asked on Triple M if he took the scrutiny and criticism the joint venture side was receiving personally, 29-year-old Leilua answered: “Yeah f—in’ oath I take it personal but f— me..
“Aw sorry, I don’t know why I’m swearing so much. Sorry, sorry.
“It’s a privilege and we play a game we need to win and we’re just not playing well enough to win.
“I obviously feel sorry for our coach and our coaching staff because they give us all the details and we’re just not doing it out there.
“I feel sorry for our fans and I apologised to our fans. We’re trying, we really are.”
Leilua had kicked off the interview by chastising himself, once again using edgy language as he told the radio audience “I had two shit errors.
“‘We should have been better there.
“We didn’t realise we had two on three at the end there and should have kicked it. Pretty dumb there
“Our effort’s there but we lacked execution, like what i did there. We could have used hands. F–.”
