THE old expression has been observed by Leeds Rhinos: what happened in Vegas has certainly stayed there.
Since flogging world champions 58-6 at Allegiant Stadium on February 28, Brad Arthur’s team has been knocked out of the Challenge Cup, beaten lowly Castleford and today fell victim to unfancied Hull KR, 24-16.
FC dominated early and looked capable of winning in a canter, before the Rhinos charged back to draw level 14-14.
But centre Davy Litten’s 54th minute try the key score. They had another chalked off when the video referee but hung on for a result welcomed by almost 13,000 home fans.
New signing Jack Bird was unable to inspire the Rhinos, while fullback Lachlan Miller had a running battle with referee Liam Moore.
