MANLY hero Jake Trbojevic has described interim coach Kieran Foran as “the ultimate competitor”.

Foran will be shooting for four consecutive wins since taking over from Anthony Seibold when the old beer commercial is re-enacted with “Manly and Parra” meeting at a sold-out 4 Pines Park on Sunday.

His record already makes him part of a three-way tie for best record for a caretaker coach, with Peter Sharp and Brad Fittler also having won their first three.

“The biggest thing that bloke brings: his presence brings passion, competitiveness,” said Trbojevic, whose brother Tom picked up a long-term hamstring injury last Thursday, on the ABC.

“He’s the ultimate competitor, you know what I mean?

“I’m lucky enough, I got to play alongside him. I know what he’s about and it’s rubbing off on the boys.

“It’s been a first three weeks but we want to keep building on it. We don’t want this season to be a waste so it’s really nice to get back into the competition.”

Offering an insight into Foran’s methods, half Luke Brooks told Triple M: “He’s just simplified it and given us a couple of things to go after.

“And then our footy just goes off the back of that.

“If we go after those four things he’s given us, I think it just sets us up for a good game and the rest will do itself.”

Jake Trbojevic suffered another head knock in the 38-6 win at QCB Stadium but passed his HIA and was able to finish the game.

Tom Trbojevic has been sidelined for eight weeks with a “moderate” hamstring injury – a blow to the Sea Eagles but also to New South Wales.
