THEY’RE flying high in the top four and heading for their first finals series, but Dolphins captain Isaiya Katoa says “I don’t think that we’ve put in a complete 80-minute performance this year so far”.
The Redcliffe-based side has a blockbuster appointment with Sydney Roosters on Saturday, coming off a 34-16 home win over Parramatta last week.
“We need to figure out our starts – it’s just not good enough,” the Tonga international told Triple M.
“We’re putting ourselves under way too much pressure there.
“I do like the fact that we’re fighting back … it’s a good sign but we’ve got to stop hurting ourselves in that first 10, 15 minutes.
“We need a lot of improvement.
“I don’t think that we’ve put in a complete 80-minute performance this year so far.
“That’s a good thing …”
Of departing players Jake Averillo and Jamayne Isaako, Katoa said: “Our biggest goal now is to send them off in a good way and hopefully win the premiership.”
