PENRITH’s former Australia fullback Dylan Edwards says kick pressure remains a “grey area” in the NRL.

The Panthers fell to a rare loss, 14-12 to Brisbane last Thursday night at CommBank Stadium.

Asked on ABC Radio about the execution of both sides in their attempts to restrict opposition kickers, the normally careful Edwards conceded it was an inexact science.

“It’s hard, it’s kind of a grey area in our game,” the 30-year-old said

“We’re not sure what you can and can’t get away with in terms of putting pressure on kickers.”

The Panthers have a Thursday game once more this week, taking on Parramatta at the same venue – but this time as the away team.

The Broncos host North Queensland in a Suncorp Stadium derby on Saturday, with half Adam Reynolds determined to squeeze every last drop out of his aging body before retirement.

“The ankle just got twisted a little underneath,” Reynolds said.

“I ran it off. Obviously I know the career’s coming to an end and I want to spend as much time on the field as possible.”
