London Broncos further strengthen ties with PNG

LONDON Broncos have further strengthened their ties with Papua New Guinea via a broadcast arrangement. 

All remaining Broncos home matches in the Championship will be shown on the NBC network in Papua New Guinea, with the commentary airing on NBC Radio. The video broadcast will also go to other Pacific nations.

Meanwhile, Club co-owner Grant Wechsel is back in town and took the current squad to the scene of Fulham’s first game 45 years ago, Craven Cottage, last week.

Of the broadcast agreement, Wechsel said: “This is an exciting partnership for the London Broncos, and an important step in growing our international audience.

“Papua New Guinea and the Pacific have a deep passion for rugby league and we are proud to strengthen our connection with fans in the region through this agreement with PNG NBC.”

The Broncos host Batley at Cherry Red Records Stadium on Sunday and are still overcoming a host of injuries.

Hooker Glare is now out for three months due to ligament tears. Fullback Morea (hip flexor) is still out, as is prop Sadiq Adebiyi (hamstring), the latter with another five weeks on the sidelines ahead of him.

Centre Max (chest) is also not expected to play this Sunday.
