CENTRE Esan Marsters is out for the rest of the season and Bradford had just 15 players available to train on Tuesday.
Following Saturday’s 52-12 loss to Wakefield, the Bulls suffered further blows with Cook Islands star Marsters confirmed as having suffered a snapped achilles.
Not only that, utility star Joe Mellor is also set for a long stay on the sidelines due to a miniscus tear and a host of others are in doubt for Saturday’s visit of world champions Hull KR.
“We’ve trained with 15 players, so right now I don’t know what Saturday looks like,” coach Kurt Haggerty at his weekly media opportunity.
“I don’t think we’ve got one outside-back spare. We’ve got our two starting centres out, we’ve got Luke Hooley out, Guy Armitage out – it’s an ever-growing list.
“(Getting players in on loan is) something we’ve discussed. We had the mentality of next man up – but there’s no men left. We’ll keep going, and whoever we’ve got, in whatever positions, I’m sure they’ll all step up and do a job for the club.”
Wakefield joined St Helens and Leeds on the top rung of the Super League ladder with a comfortable win.
Trinity led the Bulls 24-0 at halftime on a sunny Saturday afternoon, winger Tom Johnstone posting four tries in the end and fellow flanker Oliver Pratt three.
For Wakefield, halfback Mason Lino and fullback Max Jowitt should be back from injury against St Helens on Saturday.
Intriguingly, forward Jazz Tevaga has a knee injury from the incident which saw him lash out with his leg at Wigan’s Liam Marshall a week and a half ago, according to coach Daryl Powell.
