THE successful return from a broken wrist for Wigan hooker Tom Forber was one positive from a beaten visit to Colwyn Bay.

The Warriors – fielding a youthful side – were toppled 34-22 by North Wales Crusaders after trailing 24-12 at halftime.

Forber, 22, suffered the season-ending wrist injury while playing reserve grade back in September but was captain yesterday and got through the game without incident.

Warriors assistant coach John Duffy told Wigan Today: “Tom is back now from his injury, which he has done a good job in getting back from, so it was good to see him getting some minutes.”

Forber spent a lot of 2024 on loan at Barrow but wound up a grand final winner back at Wigan.

Midway through last year – after featuring in Las Vegas against Warrington – he signed a deal tying him to the Warriors until the end of 2030 but he didn’t make it to the end of last season due to the injury.
