HULL FC import Will Gardiner will miss a return in round one to his home town with Bradford, who played their first game since promotion yesterday.
The Bulls cruised to a 30-12 pre-season win over Doncaster at Eco-Power Stadium, with former Salford team-mates Esan Marsters and Jayden Nikorima among the tryscorers.
A number of Bradford players were rested from a match played in shivering conditions but coach Kurt Haggerty told reporters most would be available for the season opener against Hull of February 14.
Gardiner, a 24-year-old lock, is the exception. Haggerty told reporters he would be missing until March or April with a torn hamstring.
Three of the six pre-season matches intended to involve Super League teams at the weekend did not go ahead, due to bad weather.
Warrington beat Widnes 50-12 on Friday night in a game marred by crowd trouble at Halliwell Jones Stadium
On Saturday, Dewsbury-Bradford (reserves), Swinton-St Helens, and Castleford-Oldham were all called off.
Wigan travelled to North Wales and were beaten 34-22.
