PLAY was held up for 13 minutes as Wakefield centre Cameron Scott was attended to before being hospitalised with severe concussion tonight.
The Super League match between Leeds and Wakefield had been underway for five minutes when Scott collided heavily with the Rhinos’ Keenan Palasia and was apparently knocked out.
Players reverted to drills and broadcasters cut to sideline interviews as a number of medicos attended to the 26-year-old during the extended break.
Leeds winger Maika Sivo would go onto score a hat-trick in a 40-22 win secured despite Sivo and skipper Ash Handley spending time in the sin bin.
And Leeds emerge from the round on top of the table, with Sivo and half Brodie Croft having 30 tries between them after just 10 rounds.
