North Queensland 28 Melbourne 24: Cowboys blitz Storm with late charge

A 76th minute try to winger Braiden Burns has sunk Melbourne after they looked to be coasting to victory QCB Stadium.

The Storm, beaten at home by Brisbane last week, led 20-14 with 13 minutes to go after winger Will Warbrick’s fourth try from a miraculous 20-metre pass out of dummy half from Harry Grant.

But Sam McIntyre and Heilum Luki scored consecutive Cowboys tries to lift them back intot he game, with Burns bagging the clincher in the right corner.

It’s the Storm’s second loss of the season, leaving them in mid-table, while the Cowboys registered the second victory.
